The Development Of Dog Food

 In 1954, the ralston-purina Company tried mixing rice flour, salt and sugar with emulsified animal livers, skim milk and soybean powder. 

It mimics the taste of popcorn and is popular with pet dogs. In 1957, Americans applied the puffing process in food to pet food, and the world's first puffed dog food was produced. Since then, pet food made by puffing process has occupied the main position of pet food for its complete balance of nutrition, feeding convenience, saving time and so on. Thirty years later, in 1987, the United States sold $2.7 billion of dog food in supermarkets alone, selling 2.64 million tons.
